SNORKELING
Kahaluu Beach is one of the best places to snorkel on the island. It is located only a 10 minute drive south on Alii Drive near Keaheau. This beach area has a protected reef with sea turtles, reef, coral and many fish to view. Kahaluu Beach features calm waters and most of the bay is less than 6 feet deep. Showers and rest rooms are available and there is a place to rent umbrellas and snorkel gear. There is a large pavilion available with food service and also has a place to picnic or to grill.

Kealakekua Bay
is the highest rated Hawaii snorkeling destination on the Big Island. This spectacular protected marine sanctuary offers an abundance of colorful tropical fish, a variety of beautiful coral reefs and visibility often to 100 feet. The calm, protected waters and sunny skies of Kealakekua Bay provide superior snorkeling and diving year round. There are several cruises you can book to take you to Kealakekua Bay, about 20 mins from your condo. The Fair Winds is a sailboat with covered areas and a bar, and Captian Zodiac is an inflatable vehicle that travels at high speeds for a fun ride to Kealakekua Bay.
